AICE Media Studies

 Today my group and I filmed the whole music video. It was filmed at a local park, which has a playground and is near a library. Since one of my groupmates had not shown up yet me and my other teammate (Tasmia) decided to film shots that she (Kennedy) was not a part of. The first thing that was shot was my introduction. My feet were filmed first and then the camera panned up to show all of me. After this was filmed, Kennedy got there. After she arrived, I filmed Tasmia's introduction. I filmed her walking (only her feet) and then I filmed her walking (showing all of her). Following this, my teammates and I had to try to get our brothers (Tasmia and I) to focus. It took a while but eventually me and my group were ready to film. Our brothers were included because we needed people to be the bullies. They threw a ball at me, booed me, and put their thumbs down (only their hands were filmed). Since that was as the only scene that we needed them for, after the scene was filmed, they went

 Scene 1: The first scene will be an introduction to two of the main characters by showing a close-up shot of them walking on/onto a sidewalk.  Scene 2: The second scene will show the first character fully and cut to a flashback to their past and show how they were treated poorly by classmates for not being the best at sports.  Scene 3: The third scene in our storyboard shows the second character sitting on a bench with her Bible.  Scene 4: This scene will be a close-up of the Bible to clarify to the audience that it is the Bible to avoid confusion regarding the specificity of what the book is.  Scene 5: This scene will be a flashback/cut to the backstory for the second character on how they were mistreated for their beliefs.  Scene 6: This scene will introduce the third main character in our music video by showing her foot and panning up to show what she looks like.  Scene 7: This scene, which will be a flashback, will have a cut-shot to the third character's backstory of how they

 Props:  For our music video, we decided to bring a old copy of the Bible (provided by Kennedy) for the mention of religious views in the lyrics of the song. We will also have a soccer ball for someone to play with by themselves to show their loneliness.  Costumes:  For costumes, to display a depressing mood, we'll have the actors wear clothing that indicate being in a cold, gloomy environment. Since the temperature is generally low/cooler this time of year, wearing heavy clothing won't be difficult to manage. They will also wear shirts that majority of the population would find unattractive and/or childish.  Schedule:  On 11/12/2021, our group researched codes and conventions regarding said pop songs to note down for our own music video.  On 11/16/20201, we planned out what props, costumes, schedule, our backup plan, and where we will meet up to film.  On 11/18/2021, we will do the storyboard for our music video (which will last no more than one minute and 15 seconds).  On 11/

 For this music video, my group and I have decided to go through various different playlists to find songs at least two of us were familiar with. When we eventually found one, the remaining group member who wasn't familiar with it listened to the song (while looking at the lyrics) in order to get a better understanding of the meaning of the song. The song that was chosen is Freaks  by Jordan Clarke, a pop song.  During our research we realized that the song did not have a music video, so my group decided to get the information needed through other music videos that had the same feeling/same message. Since Freaks is a sad pop song, my group searched up other sad songs and found the following:  They use dark color schemes to represent gloomy and depressing feelings.  Usually shot at night/in dark places since it gives a darker mood. Daylight is usually used to represent happy and lighter moods.  Use some sort of props (such as masks and clothes) that look unusual to stand out amongst

 I am going to work with same people I worked with to make the commercial. I am going to work with Tasmia and Kennedy. I decided to work in a group again so we could evenly distribute the work. I am a person who gets overwhelmed easily(doing a project). If I have people helping me than it is not as bad. As I know that I do not have to do all the work by myself.  I decided to work with my groupmates because they each have some experience with certain elements/parts of the filming process. I also know them and know that they will get the work done/contribute. It also worked out when we did the commercial and we made a great team. Tasmia has filmed and edited videos with her cousins. So she knows how to use some editing software. She also knows how to film certain camera angles and make them look good. Even though I have gotten a little better with filming I am still happy to work with Tasmia as she has more experience.  Kennedy is a good artist and  can draw the storyboard accurately/bet

 Hi, I'm Madelyn. I enjoy doing a lot of different things. Some of those things are baking, playing the clarinet, swimming, learning new things and exploring new places/traveling. I also like being active and have done a bunch of sports such as ballet, gymnastics and Taekwondo. I did ballet for 2 years and Taekwondo for almost 5. I also love to read and open a book whenever I can. I especially like reading historical fiction and read many Magic Treehouse books when I was younger. I try to be organized because when I am not I learned that I tend to lose things or forget about important events and/or dates.  I love animals and plan to become a veterinarian when I grow up. I am very interested/passionate about the planet/saving it. I often do things such as beach cleanups. And after learning about fast fashion and the negative impacts that industry has on people and the planet I have tried to shop more sustainability.  I was very excited to know I was taking this class this year .
