Commercial filming

 Today was our first day filming. We filmed at the picnic tables outside of the cafeteria. We got set up to film and than realized we forgot to bring one of our props with us(blank piece of paper/printer paper). Because of this we had to go back to the classroom to get it. After we got the forgotten prop we went back to ore filming location and set everything up again. We started filming our first scene of our commercial (first scene that was filmed). I was the actor/person being filmed.  Tasmia and Kennedy filmed and acted as directors. For this scene we did have some bloopers and had to film several takes before we got the one we wanted to use (the final take). After we had finished filming the first scene we went to the next scene on our storyboard. We had a lot of takes that we didn't use for various reasons. One reason was it was kind of windy when we were filming. So the paper sometimes would fly off the table in the middle of filming and/or in-between takes. Another reason was that once or twice I broke character and ended up laughing. As well as this we did have some logical/technical difficulties. Sometimes the camera would not be filming and sometimes the start button would be pushed to early or late. The last reason was to make corrections/make sure the scene was perfect and made sense. The last scene we filmed today was the scene were I write/draw with the Paper Mate pen and it works. We only got halfway through filming this scene. We did not have to do many takes of this scene. It only took one or two tries to get a take we were happy with. This was all we had time to film today. After we filmed the third scene we went back to class for the final bell to ring. The picture I included on this blog is a picture we took to make sure I was wearing the same thing next class when we can film again. We did this so there were no unnecessary and/or confusing costume changes.

The titles are the movie name, and the companies that co-produced the movie. 2.What connotations do the images carry? Genre Research: Cinderella The Amazon Original

   Hello, today My group and I are researching Fantasy Movies so we have a better idea of what our opening sequence will look like. The first movie we are researching is Cinderella, made by Amazon.  The common sounds that I found in cinderella, was dialogue, and diegetic sound, along with singing. I did notice that in most fantasy moves it opens with some kind of narration, like a storybook. In this movie it did it as well, it also broke into sound and dance within the first 15 to 25 seconds in.  One of the common camera angles was a bird's eye view, so the audience could see the different movements the actors were doing as they danced. Another common camera angle was the medium shot, this was often used if the character was sitting, or if the character was eating, basically something that didn't require that much movement.   Props:     My group will be using a backpack, piece of paper and our product (Paper Mate pens). We will also be using a different type of pen (not the one we are advertising) to contrast to the Paper Mate pen.  Since we will be making our commercial about a brand of pen we will not need to have a lot of props.  Costumes:  My groupmates and I will all be in the commercial (be actors). Since this commercial is about pens (usually people are wearing normal clothes) we will just be wearing regular/normal/street clothes. If our filming takes place between multiple days we will make sure to be wearing the same things- so not to have a confused audience/have it make sense.  Schedule:   On 9/23/21: Our group will research any essential things for this project/commercial.
