Group

 Right now we are doing a commercial and have to apply what we have learned so far. I am excited and a little bit nervous as this is my first time filming and editing. I am also excited to act again as I have not done acting for over a year.   For this project I decided to work in a group. I am working with two other people. Their names are Tasmia K and Kennedy N. I decided to work in a group so we could evenly distribute the work. I am a person who gets overwhelmed easily(doing a project). If I have people helping me than it is not as bad. As I know that I do not have to do all the work by myself.  I decided to work with my groupmates because they each have some experience with certain elements/parts of the filming process. I also know them and know that they will get the work done/contribute. Tasmia has filmed and edited videos with her cousins. So she knows how to use some editing software. She also knows how to film certain camera angles and make them look good. When she told me that she had some experience I was a little relieved as I have almost no prior experience/knowledge. Of course I know that I have to/will get better over time but I am still a little relieved that she has some experience.      Kennedy is a good artist and  can draw the storyboard accurately/better quality than me or Tasmia. This means we will have a better chance of knowing what we are supposed to be filming. This will save time as we will not be guessing what we are supposed to be doing because the picture is not clear.  (The picture I used for this blog is a picture of the product we are thinking of doing are commercial for.)

 1.  How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? There are four titles. The titles are the movie name, and the companies that co-produced the movie. 2.What connotations do the images carry? Genre Research: Cinderella The Amazon Original

   Hello, today My group and I are researching Fantasy Movies so we have a better idea of what our opening sequence will look like. The first movie we are researching is Cinderella, made by Amazon.  The common sounds that I found in cinderella, was dialogue, and diegetic sound, along with singing. I did notice that in most fantasy moves it opens with some kind of narration, like a storybook. In this movie it did it as well, it also broke into sound and dance within the first 15 to 25 seconds in.  One of the common camera angles was a bird's eye view, so the audience could see the different movements the actors were doing as they danced. Another common camera angle was the medium shot, this was often used if the character was sitting, or if the character was eating, basically something that didn't require that much movement.   Props:     My group will be using a backpack, piece of paper and our product (Paper Mate pens). We will also be using a different type of pen (not the one we are advertising) to contrast to the Paper Mate pen.  Since we will be making our commercial about a brand of pen we will not need to have a lot of props.  Costumes:  My groupmates and I will all be in the commercial (be actors). Since this commercial is about pens (usually people are wearing normal clothes) we will just be wearing regular/normal/street clothes. If our filming takes place between multiple days we will make sure to be wearing the same things- so not to have a confused audience/have it make sense.  Schedule:   On 9/23/21: Our group will research any essential things for this project/commercial.
