Music video



  


 The music video was the second project that my group and I did. This was the first music video that I have ever created. This time I got to learn about filming and editing more than I did when my group and I did the commercial. The filming process was longer than I thought it would be initially. However, my group managed to film everything that day. During the filming and editing my skills greatly improved. Although I still have room for improvement. During filming (since I was able to film this time) my hands were not as shaky, and I also got better at utilizing props. I also did a lot more editing than last time. I learned how to add text into the screen. I also got better at putting clips together and cutting parts out of a particular scene and not making it look messy.

Genre Research: Jumanji: The Next Level

   For further research on movies under the fantasy genre, one of the three movies we chose was Jumanji: The Next Level .  Some common camera angles, movements, and shots that were used in this movie were that they started off their sequence by zooming out to display the company name and logo. They also started the film with a wide shot to display where the first setting will take place before zooming out to show a character. this was followed by a series of zoom-ins in different settings in which every other character was introduced before the story progressed. Tracking shots were also used when characters were in a hurry and had to move quickly before anything bad happens and panning was also used for when one of the characters had fallen from a plane and rolled to a stop at a desert.   Props:     My group will be using a backpack, piece of paper and our product (Paper Mate pens). We will also be using a different type of pen (not the one we are advertising) to contrast to the Paper Mate pen.  Since we will be making our commercial about a brand of pen we will not need to have a lot of props.  Costumes:  My groupmates and I will all be in the commercial (be actors). Since this commercial is about pens (usually people are wearing normal clothes) we will just be wearing regular/normal/street clothes. If our filming takes place between multiple days we will make sure to be wearing the same things- so not to have a confused audience/have it make sense.  Schedule:   On 9/23/21: Our group will research any essential things for this project/commercial. Starting to edit

 Today I started to edit my final project. Since one of my teammates had already put the scenes together, I went ahead and started to shorten some of the scenes. This was because some of the shots show parts that are unnecessary. Such as stopping running and some shots have my group and I breaking character towards the end. Another reason I cut out some parts of shots is the time. Without cutting these parts the final video would have been over two minutes. After I had cut out all the parts of the shots that were not necessary, I started to add the titles. I first had to find the list that had all the names of the titles. Since, I did not have it with me one of my teammates sent me a picture of it. Before I put any titles, I also confirmed that all the titles on the list were up to date and the ones my group wanted to use. This is because my group and I had switched some of the title names.
