Starting the music process
Today my group and I really only talked about the music we were going to be using for the film. For a while my group and I debated what genre of song to use. The only thing that was really agreed on was that the song was supposed to be mysterious and not really cheery or happy. I suggested a K-pop song. However, since it would be in a different language, and my group and I don't really know if you are allowed to use a song not in English that idea was discarded. Tasmia finally suggested using a song without lyrics which seemed much more fitting. My group and I were also considering using music that was not royalty free. However, after much discussion it was discovered that royalty free music was the best option for my group and me. This was mainly due to the fact that the music that my group and I had agreed on had not been approved for our use. This was because the email address had not been typed in correctly. I only realized this today. Although we may be able to get a response, it may be too late for the project. That is why I suggested using royalty free music. This way my group's final will have music regardless if a response from the music company is given in time or not. However, we decided to go a step further. Mainly, due to the fact that one of my teammates Tasmia agreed to make original music for our intro. Tasmia knows how to do this as she has been taking a music class where all you do is make your own music. The backup plan is to use royalty free music that my group and I have found on the internet. I suggested this, not because I didn't think Tasmia would do a good job or finish in time. But to make sure that if something went wrong we would have a safety net to fall back on.
